After Biden's vow to choose a woman as his vice presidential nominee, many have speculated who it would be. As of August 12, 2020, there is no longer need any need for speculation; the only one of the three to be a standing senator, Kamala Harris, has been chosen and she may be the worst choice Biden could have made.
The Impeachment of President Trump marks a historic moment in which the United States of the Republic being marred by corruption and mundanity. This fiasco has caused many, left and right, to lose faith in the nation's politicians as well as in the political system itself, which could have dire consequences for any involved. Not only has this reaction been negative for Democrats, however, but also for many Republicans who seem to be fumbling in their response to such blatant partisanship and appearing partisan and apathetic themselves. Regardless of which party wins out in the end, this disaster will mark a turning point in U.S. history for better, or for worse.
